IMO Model Course 3.19 – Ship Security Officer (SSO)


THE OBJECTIVES OF:

    This course aims to equip designated personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a Ship Security Officer (SSO), as defined in section A/2.1.6 & A/12.2 of the ISPS Code and section A-VI/5 of the STCW Code.


ENTRY REQUIREMENT:

    This course is highly relevant for anyone assigned to oversee and manage ship security, including maintaining and supervising the implementation of a ship security plan.
